Common questions
What is a social media takeover?
A takeover is five minutes where you control someone else's 1Glitz profile. You can only take over accounts whose owners have opened themselves to challenges, and the owner can revoke your session at any moment. When the clock runs out, control returns automatically.
Can someone take over my account without permission?
No. Challenges only reach accounts that have switched challenges on. Business accounts can never be taken over. Owners keep a revoke button through the whole session, and revoking blocks that challenger for fifteen minutes.
What are slaps, punches and hushes?
They are the three live strikes members throw at each other during the arena. Each one lands on screen with its own crack, shake and sound. Nothing leaves the platform and no real account is ever posted to.
What does a throw cost?
Posting in the feed is free. A throw pushes your post out to a chosen reach and length, and the fee scales with how far and how long you send it — you see the exact price before you confirm.
Can a business get in for free?
Yes. A business can sign up, upload one photo or video, make one post and sit at the top of the feed for free, with a dashboard showing real views, taps, likes and comments. Paid weekly advertising blocks start at $9.99.
How long does a session last, and can it be extended?
Every takeover is five minutes free. A paid ten-minute extension is $4.99 and the owner can still revoke at any point.
